Easton, PA — Easton Area Junior Varsity won big over Bethlehem Catholic 14-5 on Monday. After the Golden Hawks scored two runs in the top of the first innings, it was all Rovers as they scored six in the first, seven in the third and added one in the sixth. Deegan Keller earned the win for the JV Rovers. The sophomore hurler went four innings, giving up three hits and four runs while striking out striking out seven. Winston Hornik pitched an inning in relief. And Nolan Stem closed out the game with two shut-out innings. The JV Rovers collected 15 hits on the day. Keller, Evan Thornton, Max Martenis and Brendan Bowman each had multiple hits and Kurtis Crossman added an RBI double to lead Easton. Next up for the Easton is a trip to Cooperstown, NY and the National Baseball Hall of Fame and Museum where the JV Rovers will take on the Vikings of West Chester East. Game is scheduled for 10am Saturday on historic Doubleday Field.
