Easton, PA — Easton Area Junior Varsity built a 7-run lead in the second inning and then held off Abington Heights's comeback attempt for a 14-13 victory on Saturday at Easton Area High School. Both offenses had strong performances at the plate as the JV Rovers collected 11 hits and Abington Heights 10 in the high-scoring affair. Easton sophomore Kurtis Crossman had a solo home run to right field and Brody Dech and Max Martenis had multiple hits for the Rovers. Jackson Gubich earned the victory as the pitcher of record in the fourth. Nolan Stem led things off going three and a third innings. Dom Crisci appeared in an inning of relief and Jacob Hackman earned the save. Easton welcomes Bethlehem Catholic on Monday. Game time is 4pm on the Kunkle Tract JV Baseball Field.
