This was a trip we had waited for quite some time now. A trip to North Carolina to play in a 14u tournament. It was billed as DMV vs NC, the hype was there. Teams from NC were hyped and ready to play us. The line up from NC had what was said to be some of the best the state had to offer and they wanted to play us. This tournament was months in the making, several hours of phone calls, several text messages back and forth between teams and coaches. The promise of a huge turnout was highly anticipated. The idea of 1st and 2nd place trophies added to the hype of playing in this tournament.
