Lions hit the road to Elizabeth-Forward on Friday the 13th

Coach Spieler and the Lions (3-0) take to the road for the first time of the 2024 campaign. They travel for the first of two trips to the Mon Valley to take on Elizabeth Forward (1-2). Coming off a big win, the Warriors had a monster offensive output. Led by their QB Ryan Messina who threw for 189 yards and two touchdowns and scored twice on the ground as Class 3A Elizabeth Forward beat East Allegheny (0-3). Lightning fast RB/WR Charlie Nigut added 141 yards and two touchdowns while scoring on a 57-yard pass from Messina. Defensively, the Warriors are led by nose guard #66 Christopher Climes. The University at Buffalo commit stands 6-3, 300 lbs and holds down the middle of their defense. In 2023, he had 13 sacks, 4 blocked punts and 18 TFLs.

Week 2 - Canon-Mac vs SF Lions on Youth Night 9-6-2024

The Lions (2-0) welcome the South Fayette Youth Football and Cheer teams to help battle Canon MacMillan (0-2). The Big Macs play their third straight Allegheny 6 opponent as their South Hills tour has resulted in losses to Peters Township and Upper Saint Clair. The Big Macs hope to get some injured players back to help them get on track to enter conference play.

Game 2 - Shaler Titians visit South Fayette Stadium

The Lions (1-0) continue their 2024 mission entering game 2 welcoming the Shaler Titans (1-0). The Lions are coming off an opening night win, shutting out their rivals 26-0. Offensively, Drew Welhorsky and the offensive line shined producing 3 rushing TDs for the QB and a passing TD to TE Tyler Wright. Not to be outdown, the defense pitched the shutout, answering the bell on the first drive to stop the Colts at the 2 yard line on 4th down. Defensively, #6 Trey Potteiger sparked the team with the first turnover of the season which setup the offense for their first score. The defensive line was led by newcomer Anthony Charles who had 2 solo sacks and 2 assists.
