Cougars had a great day in Amelia County
The Stuarts Draft Wrestling Team competed in an individual tournament in Amelia County today. Eric won his first match in overtime and then lost his next two matches nearly making it to the third and fourth place match — a great showing for his experience level. Lily wrestled aggressively taking an impressive lead in both matches but got caught on her back in the end. William wrestled the best he ever has winning one match and losing two very hard fought matches. Saryah suffered two hard fought losses. Levi wrestled great winning his first followed by a couple tough losses. Grant, Tyler and Scott all wrestled hard but came up short in their first two matches. Henri had three very close matches, winning one and almost making it to the medal match. Stephen had a great day placing third and had a very close overtime match in his only loss to the 157 lb champion. And Uriah came away with three pins and a first place medal! Everyone did great and keeps improving.
