Fairfield, CA - The Vanden Boys Volleyball team played against El Cerrito High School in a tough game this Tuesday evening. The Vikings fought hard and played tough throughout the whole game, which ended in a win against El Cerrito 3-2 (19-25, 19-25, 25-22, 25-22, 15-12) in a reverse sweep! Defensive Specialist Jonah Victorio had 3 aces and 4 digs. Outside Hitter Jaden Fiel racked up 13 kills. Outside Hitter Tosh Evangelista had 10 kills and 1 block. The Vikings will play away this Wednesday against Will C. Wood High School.
Fairfield, CA - The Vanden Boys Volleyball team faced off against River Valley High School for their first home game of the season. The Vikings stayed strong and came out the winners, beating River Valley 3-2 (25-22, 25-23, 17-25, 20-25, 15-9). Setter Tavas Spencer had 31 assists along with 4 aces. Middle Blocker Ifeanyi Onwuazombe had 6 kills and 5 blocks. Outside Hitter Kyle Yabut had 8 kills. Libero Vincent Mercado racked up 19 digs. The Vikings will play at home again this Thursday against Monterey Trail High School.
