Coach Bios

I was born and raised in Pomona where I grew up playing competitive sports. I played 11 years of soccer, 7 of which were spent playing on a club team. I began running track my freshman year of high school where my coach convinced me to join cross country. I lettered all 4 years for track and soccer as well as lettering all 3 years I ran cross country for Don Lugo High School. I then went on to run at the collegiate level for Hope International University at the NAIA D1 level. I ran 4 years of cross country and track, qualifying and racing at the NCCAA cross country nationals in 2013. I graduated in 2016 with a B.A. in Psychology and am finishing up my Masters degree in Education. I am in her 5th year of coaching. I began at Don Lugo where I had coached multiple individual CIF qualifiers for track. During Cross country season, I helped coach the boys cross country team to CIF prelims as well as 2 individual girls to CIF prelims as well, one of which advanced to CIF finals. Since coming to Troy, I have sent multiple athletes each year to CIF as either an individual competitor or part of a relay team. I have sent both the boys and girls cross country team to CIF prelims each year since arriving.
