2019 State Finals

Congratulations to Kamari Maddox who finishes the year as one of the States top Long Jumpers. On Friday Kamari qualified for the Saturday Finals but unfortunately hurt his hamstring again. Kamari has battled hamstring issues all season, to qualify for State Finals is an absolute miracle. This season comes to an end with Kamari at State Finals and next season will be the beginning of an amazing college career at Grand Canyon University!

Masters Championship

The Masters meet is a combination of all 4 divisions from Southern California, it pits the best of the best against each other in So Cal. This is consider the toughest qualifying meet to the State Championship in all of California. Let's congratulate Matt Siggins for finishing 9th overall in So Cal and Soley Lymon for finishing 7th in shot and 11th in discus. The most exciting action came in Long Jump with Kamari Maddox, on his second attempt Kamari jumped himself into the State meet and became the Masters champion with a mark of 23'5.25"! It was a great weekend, congratulations to all 3 athletes.

CIF Finals

Six Tigers qualified for CIF Finals, collectively it was a great day as three will move on to the Masters Championship. Congratulations to Soley Lymon, Kamari Maddox and Matt Siggins for qualifying to Masters, a BIG congrats to Matt for breaking the 110h school record!!! Unfortunately we saw three great competitors finish their season, lets thank and congratulate Daniela Lopez, Leneah Olsingch and Shay Robinson for a wonderful season. Daniela finishes her career as one of the most decorated athletes in track history, she will be dearly missed and impossible to replace!

On to FINALS

This past weekend the Tigers had 22 athletes represented at the Division 2 CIF Prelims, each athletes finished the year off with a high note and multiple personal records were established. Help me congratulate the 5 athletes moving on to CIF Finals - in both shot put and discus = Leneah Olsingch and Soley Lymon, in the jumps = Daniela Lopez and defending CIF Champion Kamari Maddox and finally in both the 110 and 300 hurdles Matt Siggins.
