Diamond Ranch Solar Boat Club Fundraiser
The Solar Boat team is raising the necessary funds for transportation, lodging, and food, and other camping expenses we will have for our trip to the 2019 Solar Cup Competition at Lake Skinner, May 16-19, 2019.
About Us
The Diamond Ranch Solar Boat Team is made up of students in the 9th-12th grade. We meet after school every Wednesday. As the competition has drawn closer, we meet more often. We are very excited to have the opportunity to compete this year. We've worked hard building the boat from scratch, learning about how the electrical and mechanical systems work, writing technical reports explaining our systems, and creating a public service announcement on water conservation. We were able to fund the parts of the boat from a grant we earned from the Metropolitan Water District. Now, we just need to raise the funds to get our boat to the race.
