Coach McCandless has been the Head Girls Volleyball Coach for J.W. North High School for over ten years and the Head Boys Volleyball Coach for over five years. She has over 20 years of coaching experience at the high school and club levels. She was named High School Game Time “High School Coach of the year” for 2014. She was the starting outside hitter for the Jerome High School 1992 league champion team and a member of the 1993 Lone Star Conference Champion Team. Coach McCandless was chosen to play on her high school league All Star team. She also played three years of collegiate level volleyball at Eastern New Mexico University as an outside hitter.
