Dead Period
Titans,
Hope everyone is doing well! Due to school closures and circumstances surrounding the Coronvirus, Temescal Canyon HS recently determined to move the dead period to enable athletics to resume activities without interruption once teams are able to participate on campus. As of yesterday, we began the first day of the school-wide CIF mandatory dead period which will end on June 21, 2020. We are working to resume football activities as soon as possible and have been in constant communications with the school and athletics department. There has been no date established regarding when we may begin in-person team activities. My expectation is that our coaches, players and staff will be ready to go whenever we are given the dates to begin in-person team activities.
There will not be any team activities during the dead period, but players may continue to workout individually or with teammates as long as they do not do so on the TCHS campus. I encourage everyone to routinely keep up with the playbook and offensive and defensive installations. I have been proud of all of the progress that we have made as a team and the hard work and commitment that has been shown by our players! These have been incredibly difficult times and we have risen to the challenge. Let's keep it going and grind even harder!
