TUFA Super Bowl Champions Experienced First Loss

The undefeated Leander Wolfpack traveled to Washington DC to play the defending national champion North Carolina Rebels. The Rebels started off hot and fast by returning the opening kickoff for a touchdown, but Vondell Hargrove made sure to answer just as quickly as the Pack was able to answer immediately. The Rebels would pull ahead by a couple of scores, only to watch the Pack get back within 8 points late in the game. It was missed tackles and turnovers that boosted the Rebels in the 4th quarter to extend the lead and seal the game with a score of 21-41.

The Perfect Pack

The Wolfpack and Stampede faced off in an instant classic Super Bowl game that will undoubtedly go down in history as one of the greatest games ever. After trading leads throughout the first three quarters of play, the Wolfpack found themselves in a 14 point deficit with one minute and forty-eight seconds to play. A 58 yard kickoff return by Vondell Hargrove set up the offense for a very quick score, where the arm of Wesley Geisler leads JD Duncan into the endzone. The 2 point play followed with Geisler hitting Dalton Flowers. This brought the deficit to 6 points. Kevin Provance came in with a perfect onside kick at the perfect time which was recovered by CJ Lewis. Next, it was Geisler connecting with Flowers, once again to tie the game at 40. Provance drills the extra point to give the Wolfpack the lead with 10 seconds remaining. After a good return by the Stampede, Cedric Harris was able to seal the game with an interception on a last-play heave. The course of the game may not have been perfect, but the TUFA season ended with the Wolfpack with a perfect season, 13-0!

We're Going to THE SHIP!

The Leander Wolfpack advanced to the TUFA Super Bowl after outlasting the Space City Heat, 31-28 in an instant-classic overtime win. After the Pack jumped ahead 20-7 in the first half, it was all Heat in the 3rd quarter as they scored 21 unanswered points. It was the defense and big special teams plays that boosted the Pack in the 4th quarter to send the game to overtime. Winning the coin toss, the Wolfpack offense sustained a dominating drive which ended with a field goal by Kevin Provance. With the NFL overtime rules, the Heat were given one chance to possess ball. The Death Row Defense showed up just in time, as Andre Taylor intercepted a pass on the Heat's second play of overtime to win the game.

It's Done, But It Isn't Finished!

The Wolfpack defeated the Bison to complete the task of becoming 10-0, undefeated for the regular season. However, the mission has just begun as the Pack awaits the first round of playoffs to see who is next on their to-do list. The second round playoff game will be played at 7:00PM at Cougar Stadium in Jarrell, TX on June 12th!
