Mick graduated from Northfield High School in 1982 where he was a 3 sport athlete. He received his undergraduate degree in physical education and adaptive physical education from Augsburg College and his master’s degree from Mankato State in education. He was inducted into the Augsburg Athletic Hall of Fame in 2006 and the Northfield Athletic Hall of fame in 2012. Mick has been teaching in the Burnsville school district for 34 years and has coached many sports. Coach Scholl coached 13 years under Neal Jeppson before taking over the head coaching reins in 2003. His teams have won four conference titles, been in the section championship game nine times winning four section titles, state runner-up in 2010, state champions in 2011, and placed 5th in the state tournament in 2016 . Mick has coached in the Play Ball Minnesota All Star Series twice, and was honored as Class AAA Coach of the Year in 2010. He is also the Section 3AAAA rep for the coaches association. In 2018 he was the recipient of Craig Anderson Ethics in Coaching Award given by the state high baseball coaches association. Mick has been involved with the Fellowship of Christian Athletes since high school and continues to be part of a coaches Bible study. Mick lives in Burnsville with his wife Jessica and has 3 children, Megan, Robby, and Amelia.
Started Coaching my Son Blair when he was 9, coached him through 18. Then coached my Son Dalton from 12-18. When he was done with High School baseball I was fortunate enough to be able to join Burnsville Hight School as an assistant coach at 10th grade before being asked to be head coach for 9B.
