Lady Vikings Amazing Team Unity

How can you not be impressed by this incredibly small squad of player's giving massive contributions each and every game . I am truly shocked how they do not just hang in games but actually can take it to the opposition no matter if they are playing with only 9/10 or when we are really lucky, 11 Players !! To put so much energy into a game and knowing there is no rotation rest means they are giving solid 80 minutes of intense soccer and not once has a Player downed tools and just wanted to walk away after a goal against has been scored . The mental strength of these young athletes is off the charts and it all comes about through the amazing chemistry and bond they are sharing at the moment . The fact that week in week out the Lady Vikings are sometimes camped in the oppositions half for minutes at a time bodes really well for their actual league season .Great Performance Tonight ! Keep your Amazing Team Unity Going !!!

You Never Gave UP !

For a team that had only eleven players to begin with and then lose one midway in the 1st half along with a Goal being scored against while that injured player was flat out on the ground could make most teams fall apart, give up and just want to go home and to add heartache the opposition when two goals up early in the second half , this was after the Lady Vikings had been making their keeper look amazing with three shots saved as well as a PK ! It just looked like it was not going to be the Team's day but sometimes the form book is thrown out the window as the Lady Vikings "kept their shape" dug deep into their resolve and began to control the game ,Ryan coming up with two precious strikes to make it 2-2 game with incredible contributions from Zoe and Selah on both goals and then with less than 10 minutes to go Up stepped Kiki to smash in a wide side freekick 3-2 !! Its a Team Game and the MVP's will be mentioned in another window but tonight every player gave a fantastic performance and never gave up !

Its all about the Performance

Score lines are not the main indicator of a new Team playing pre season soccer matches , right now its about gaining Soccer Fitness both with the Feet and the Game Brain along with seeing team camaraderie , bonding and the knowledge that every player has every ones back through thick and thin . Lady Vikings are no "blame gamers" , no "finger pointers" no "excuse makers" Lady Vikings are all about giving the best they can and in the past first four games there is no doubt in my mind that every player is raising their Performance ,both individually and as a Team and that reflects in the fact that they are giving any opposition that they play a "Proper Game" .

A Good Positive step and about Tuesday's Recovery practice

I explained to the team before kick off no matter how many Lady Vikings went on to the field whether it was 7/8/9 or more players they would have to bring a Defensive mindset and show the Biggest heart and Strongest mentality . The Team did not disappoint , every player gave their all from first to last whistle , with no subs to rotate I was amazed by how they defended as a team against some top "EC" Players ( Elite Club) that Geffen could bring out . To go in at HT only 0-3 down yet still have made at least three golden scoring opportunities themselves was incredible and then to play a second half so strong and allow only one goal against and again make the Geffen keeper work with three more sharp saves while also cracking the crossbar ,that showed improvement !!
