Vanden Boys Volleyball are Back to Back Champs!

Vanden Boys Volleyball finished league play with a 3-0 victory over Twelve Bridges and are the 2023 SDL/PVL Champions. The Vikings (23-5, 14-0) brought the offense to their last home league game with a team total of 37 kills. Jr Outside Hitter Christian Ting led the charge with 13 kills, 4 aces, and 7 digs. Jr Middle Blocker William Iheanacho had a very efficient night with 9 kills with only 1 error to go along with his 5 blocks. Sr Right Side hitter Kenji Arnold had 9 kills and 5 aces. Soph Setter Tavas Spencer finished with 30 assists. The Viking JV team also finished their league play undefeated.

Vikings beat cross-town rival Vacaville Christian

Vanden Boys Volleyball (25-5/11-0) remain undefeated in league play as they defeated local rivals Vacaville Christian. Jr Middle Blocker Andre Aguilera was outstanding at the service line with 9 aces to go along with his 5 digs and 3 kills. Jr. MB/OH Christian Ting led the team with 11 kills, 4 aces, 5 blocks, and 4 digs. Sr Op Kenji Arnold also helped the offense with 8 kills and 6 digs.

Vanden Boys Volleyball defeats Bethel in 3 straight

The Viking Boys Volleyball team defeated Bethel (Vallejo) 3-0 (25-13, 25-20, 25-16) to improve to 18-5. Soph MB Ifeani Onwuazombe came off the bench and had an efficient .660% hitting percentage putting away 5 balls and serving the final ace of set 2. Sr Opp Kenji Arnold had 6 aces, 5 kills and 7 digs. Jr MB William Iheanacho had 3 blocks, 3 digs, and 3 kills.

Newcomers perform big in win over Golden Sierra

Many first year players for Vanden stepped up to finish a home stretch for the 16-5 Vanden Boys Volleyball team. The Vikings are now 9-0 in league play after a strong performance from Jr. William Iheanacho. The first year middle blocker had 5 kills and 2 blocks. Sr. Erick Yang had a season high 4 kills, 2 aces, and a block. Ryan Castro ran the Viking offense with 22 assts. Jr.Jaiden Borja had a team high 7 digs. The Vikings travel to St Patrick for non league play on Tuesday.
