After graduating from Farrington in 1966, Sol, enlisted in the Army. His personal development skills were further developed at various educational institutions: LaSalle University, Seminole State College, University of Central Florida, Chaminade University, to name a few. His professional experience included: St Francis School-Director of Athletics, Varsity Head Basketball Coach; Hawaii State Judiciary, District Court, 1st Circuit; Hawaii Catholic School Department of Education; Chaminade University-Assistant Athletic Director / Assistant Basketball Coach; Seminole State College-Assistant Basketball Coach [Men] and Head Basketball Coach [women]; United States Army Instructor Murray State University ROTC. Through the years, Sol, developed his abilities to lead coaches and mentor student athletes. It is his knack for motivating coaches and athletes in promoting pride and accountability in the classroom, on the playing field, and in their communities that sets him apart for many others. Sol is a professional member of the Hawaii Basketball Association, the National Association of Basketball Coaches, the USA Basketball Association, Hawaii High School Athletic Association and the National Interscholastic Athletic Administers Association. He has received numerous certifications and awards: BIFF Coach of the Year; OIA Western Division Champions and Coach of the Year; ILH Champions and Coach of the Year (4 years in a row); and the KSSK Coach of the Week (5 times). His Athletic certifications include: Instructor Trainer for Certification of Athletic Coaching; Certified High School Coach; National Federation of High School Coaches Education Program; NCAA Certified College Coaching Program; and the Interscholastic Coaching Accreditations and Certification.
