Maize South Boys Swimming & Diving Fundraiser
Dive In and Help Out! The MSHS Boys Swimming and Diving Team is raising money for this upcoming season's expenses, which include meals, team travel, team apparel, and equipment. We are using Blast Athletics to help you stay connected with your swimmer(s) and/or diver(s) and help them to meet their goals. The money raised gives critical support to the Maverick Swimming and Diving program. Your donations will help this season's young men and help our future Maverick swimmers. Last year, we raised enough money to purchase 10 more parkas and 30 NEW mesh bags for the entire team. The parkas keep our athletes warm traveling to/from practice and meets in the winter. They also help keep their muscles warm during meets. These parkas and bags are embroidered with our team name, logo, and ID number. The parkas and bags are checked in and out by the current athlete and will be used by future Mavs. We have just moved into our new aquatic center and have many items which we need to purchase. Previously, we borrowed these items from the YMCA. Your generosity is greatly appreciated. Thank you!
About Us
MSHS Boys Swimming & Diving team is a non-profit program that teaches athletes of all levels. Beginners learn the life-saving skills of swimming and competitive strokes. The more advanced level, helps swimmers compete at the most competitive state level, and beyond. Last year, we had two alumni sign with D1 schools. Currently, we have a Senior who is looking to sign D1. MSHS boasts having a two-time Kansas State Swimming and Diving Champion, Regan Richardson, who won the 50 & 100 freestyle events. Our team took 6th overall for 5A and 2nd in the 200 Freestyle Relay. We even had two divers place in the top 16 within our first season ever of diving! In all levels of competition, these athletes learn about leadership, perseverance, communication, and strong work ethics. All these skills will serve them well and help their community.
