Hard fought Tie Against Rival Santa Margarita Catholic High School

Hard fought Tie Against Rival Santa Margarita Catholic High School

It was an intense and action-packed Friday night game for the JSerra JV Boys Lacrosse team. The stands were packed, and the crowd was vocal as both teams went goal for goal throughout all four quarters (and overtime!) of the final 10-10 game. Without our dedicated FOGO, John Gilson, who was out of town for the game, our defense was forced to fight hard after almost every face-off. Jack Pearl had an impressive 15 saves Friday night while the team scrambled to recover 25 ground balls. Throughout the high-energy game, both sides of the field worked their tails off showing great teamwork, communication, and lots of growth in their stick skills. Offensively, the boys worked diligently to take a whopping 31 shots on goal. Sam Kofoed was the leading goal scorer with 5 total goals, followed by Asher Stevenson and Brady Ng with 2 goals each, and Reece Meyers with 1. Suffice it to say, tieing after overtime was a difficult pill to swallow, but we'll be ready for them next year! GO LIONS!!
