Henry F. Johnson Jr – Head Coach / Boy's Varsity Entering his forth season at Brea, Coach Johnson is very excited for this season as head coach. He attended Santiago High School in Garden Grove where he excelled as a power forward /shooting guard and was awarded League MVP, All League for offense and defense, Team MVP honors, and went on to continue his basketball education at Rancho Santiago College in Santa Ana. Currently, Coach Johnson is involved with North County Basketball Clinics (N.C.B.C.) where he enjoys one-on-one trainings with youth and conducts weekly basketball clinics, both held at the Boy’s and Girl’s Club in Fullerton. Coach Johnson enjoys teaching basketball while at the same time knows the life lessons he can instill in his players through the game. His 33 years as a player, 22 years as a CIF Certified Official, 9 years as a youth basketball coach, and 2 seasons as the Girl's Varsity Assistant Coach at Santa Ana High School give him the knowledge and passion to motivate and inspire his athletes. Coach Johnson believes in hard work, dedication, passion, and sacrifice and he expects nothing less from his players. He understands and practices the core values in which it takes to turn a team into a family. Coach Johnson and his family reside in the City of Brea. His youngest daughter Terree Johnson, is a senior at Brea and a guard for the Ladycats varsity basketball team. Coach Johnson feels at home on the Brea campus and IS at home in the Brea gym!

Ellwood L Brown Assistant Varsity Coach This will be Coach Brown's 3rd season coaching with the Brea Wildcats. He brings a wealth of experience with him. Coach Brown is involved in every aspect of the game of basketball. He is currently the Commissioner for the Boys & Girls Club of Fullerton where he coaches,assigns leagues and train players. Coach Brown is also the Head Coach of 10 travel teams. North County Basketball Clinics Program(NCBC Family). He has 30 years of experience officiating high school basketball and 12 years of experience officiating at the college level. Coach Brown was a Varsity starter all 4 years of high school in Bridgeport, Connecticut and went to play at Plymouth State in New Hampshire. Coach Brown is married to Katie, an Elementary School Principal, and have one daughter, Dani who played basketball and soccer for the Brea Ladycats. Coach Brown is passionate about the game of basketball. He lives,eat,sleep and breathes basketball, and is honored to be apart of the Wildcats.
