Belmont, MI — The temperatures at Cannonsburg were warmer than expected due to the great skiing that happened on its slopes Monday. The Caledonia girls team skied well but East Grand Rapids, Cadillac and Grand Rapids Christian were on fire as they all advance to the State Finals on February 22nd at Nub's Nob. East Grand Rapids 63 pts Cadillac 77 pts GR Christian 131.5 pts Onekama 165 pts Spring Lake 220 pts Caledonia 225 pts Lowell 226 pts Northview 238 pts Forest Hills Central 240 pts GR Catholic Central 251 pts "Our girls came out today and put down some great runs. We skied consistently and did not have any mistakes but just could not generate enough speed." Coach Petrosky, " Emily Dean and Barbie DeGood took turns leading our team today, as they have all of this season. The two of them have really skied well and their skiing compliments each other which starts the girls scoring clump." Scoring for the girls team were Emily Dean (22nd GS & 25th SL), Barbie DeGood (20th SL & 26th GS), Evie Schlett (32nd GS & 32 SL), and Danielle Miron (33rd SL & 35th GS). The Scots have one more conference race on February 17th at Bittersweet.
