Thompsonville, MI — The Caledonia Ski Teams traveled north to Crystal Mountain to compete in the Benzie Invitational on Monday. The Scots ended up 5th place in a very good field of ski teams from around the state. It has a great group of teams to compete against and Crystal Mountain has some challenging slopes to make the races exciting." Coach Petrosky. "We are experimenting with some runner order changes to try to get the best from our kids. If you look at the results this season, all of our skiers have led the team and we are trying to find a combination that will get all the cylinders firing at the same time. Our guys have been pushing themselves all season and we are seeing a lot of growth in them as skiers and as young men." The Benzie Invitational awards medals to skiers that finish in the top 15, the following skiers earned medals: Ben DeGood (13th GS), Reid Goosen (14th GS) and Gavin Donnelly (14th SL). DeGood also scored with a 19th place finish in slalom. The other Scots that scored were: Tyler Roy (22nd GS), Tyler Dean (20th SL), Zach Roy (22nd SL) and Sean Rice (26th GS), this was Sean's first varsity points. This might be the first time that every varsity skier scored at a boys meet.
