Saint Louis, MO — The boys 4x800 led from start to finish and set a new LHS school record. The relay consisting of Caleb Lind, Travis Fruend, Noah McMullen & Brody Hudson ran an impressive time of 8:24.47. As of 10:00 PM tonight, this time ranks them #2 in the State (#1 Class 3). These guys combined for an impressive school record DMR (11:17.01) as well. Too bad the DMR is not an event run at the state meet in Missouri. In the boys and girls 100m dash...All 6 athletes competing ran season PRs . Highlighting the event was Sakoya Johnson's time of 12.81 which is the fastest fully automatic 100m time in LHS history. Even with a last minute lineup adjustment, our ladies 4x200m relay consisting of S. Johnson, Ava Schulte, Alexyss Ludwig and Chloe Trimble managed to finish 4th overall in competing in a very fast sprint field. The same 4 ladies finished 2nd in the 4x400m relay later in the night with an impressive time of 4:23.56. This time ranks them #4 in the state (#1 Class 3). The boys 4x100 meter relay consisting of Kaleb Mays, Brison Beck, AJ Harris and Aiden Mclean finish 4th in a tough field with limited time practicing exchanges in an event in which the exchanges are extremely important. Great job guys. The guys 4x200 meter relay swapped Mays & Beck and added Kaiden Johnson & Jordan Bethany finished 2nd overall with a solid early season time of 1:40.26. Brison Beck fired back in the 300m hurdles to win the event with a time of 42.38. Brison's time ranks him #8 in the state (#2 Class 3). Caleb Lind got his revenge in the 1600m winning the event and improving his time to 4:30.72. This time ranks him #7 in the state (#3 Class 3). Isaac Lind finished with a new season PR and 4th overall with a time of 5:11.40. On to the field events: Unfortunately, the field event results were not posted last night when I sent the initial recap due to a discrepancy at the end of the meet as many of the field events were being measured in the US standard system (feet & inches ) vs. the metric system - which is now required in Missouri. But we now have official results!! Clyde Clark finished 1st in the discus and 2nd in the Shot Put with two impressive throws and continues to chance records with with every meet. Joe Roach finished 3rd in the discus and 4th in the shot. Both new season PRs. Dawson Tallent finished 8th in the Javelin with a new PR. Jayshawn Richmond finished 7th in the Discus with a new PR. Dylan Green finished 6th in the Javelin in his first time ever competing in Track & Field and cracking the LHS Top 10 (#9 All-Time) Isabella Schreckengost finished 4th in the Javelin in her first time competing in the event and posted an LHSTF Top 10 mark (#5). Micah Tillman finished 7th in the Discus and Shot Put with great throws and a new PR. Keaghan Conner finished 4th in the Shot Put with a new career PR and LHSTF Top 10 performance #9. She also finished 8th in the Javelin with another Top 10 throw (#8).
