Otsego, MI — Bittersweet had perfect conditions for the SWMSC meet Monday night and the Scots skied to a third place finish behind Portage, who won using the 5th place tied breaker against Mattawan. Portage 65pts **won on the tied breaker Mattawan 65pts Caledonia 83 pts Plainwell/TK 103 pts K-United 160 pts Emily Dean and Barbie DeGood took turns leading the Scots at the third conference meet of the season, each taking a 5th and a 9th place. Emily was 5th in GS & 9th in Slalom while Barbie took 5th in slalom and 9th in GS. Also scoring for the Scots were Evie Schlett (12th GS & 13th SL), Danielle Miron (12th SL) and Mya Baldwin (18th GS). "Our girls skied well tonight, and we are seeing their times improve as we are getting ready for Regionals in a week." Coach Petrosky "Our team can ski with anyone and we have proven that we can finish in the top groups of teams everywhere we have raced this season. Having two top five finishes is a nice improvement and I know that these girls can continue to get faster, as we get closer to Regionals." In Varsity B action, the Scots tied Plainwell/TK for second place in the meet by scoring 40 points. Kyleigh Thompson led the Scots by winning the slalom event and taking 3rd in GS. Also scoring were Adia Whisler (8th SL & 8th GS) and Diana Bisono-Balaguer(10th SL & 10th GS).
