Clifton, NJ — Clifton Mustangs Varsity lost to St. Joes 8-0 on Friday after playing a brilliant 5 innings which undoubtedly shocked the St. Joe's players, coaches and parents. The sixth inning was played under incredible swirling winds with gusts over 50 mph which impacted play. The weather along with a few couple questionable errors/tough plays resulted in the 8 run 6th inning for St. Joes. Justin Rivera pitched a gem of a game for 5 innings. Vinny Civitella came in in the 6th inning and shut down Joe's in the 7th. Dane Mocera and Vinny Civitella had two hits. Kyle Vellis and Josh Miller also recorded a hit. It was a great game and one bad inning. Hold your heads high and roll on Mustangs!
