Clifton, NJ — Clifton Mustangs Varsity takes the quarter-final game today, 3-1 against Morristown. Vinny Civitella received the win after pitching 7 innings, striking out 11 and allowing only four hits on the day. Nick Plaskon singled to left field scoring Juan Peralta and Kyle Vellis to put the Mustangs ahead 2-0 in the second inning. Josh Miller added another run in the third with a hit up the middle, scoring Connor Reed. Connor Reed, Jayden Severino and Kyle Vellis had hits in the game as well. Clifton will play Livingston on Tuesday in a Semi-Final game at Nash Park.
