Gobles, MI — Jan 21---There was a couple small errors in the results (Varsity skiers being scored for B, ect..and it has now been fixed). The changes are very minor for our team but our B-Team ended up being Tied for 1st in this meet. The new results will be open loaded later today “I am not sure I have ever seen a team score 5, 6, 7, and 8 in GS and 4, 6, 7 and 11 in Slalom and not win a meet, until tonight. My guys really turned it on tonight but somehow Mattawan/Paw Paw scored 12 less point to beat us. I am extremely proud of my guys, our season has gotten off to a slow start by the standards we set for ourselves in terms of conference wins but these guys are skiing consistently and are fast.” Coach Petrosky. “Having 5 guys in the top ten in GS is a great sign especially at an away meet—we are excited to have our first home meet next Wednesday”. Leading the way for the Scots was Tyler Dean (4th SL & 7th GS), Tyler Roy (5th GS & 11th Slalom), Ben DeGood (6th SL & GS), Brayden Smith (8th GS) and Sean Rice (7th SL). In GS, Sean Rice placed 10th and Mason Peters placed 11th, which help push the other teams further back in the meet’s point totals. The Varsity B Team was edged out by Mattawan by 6points and end up in 2nd place. Leading the way for Caledonia was, Luke Shuster (2nd SL & 3rd GS), Carsen Kamminga (2nd GS & 8th SL), Ben Diegel (5th GS & 5th SL ), and DJ Potgeter (7th GS & 7th SL ). The Scots next week is at Bittersweet Jan 26th Come out and Fill the Hill, cheering on the Scots, at our first home meet of the year!
