Gobles, MI — Jan 21--The were a few issues with the results from this race. The problems have been corrected and they do not change very much for our team, except our Varsity B girls now took 2nd place at this meet. The new results are available on the event page for this race. Wednesday night was cold, windy and snowy but the weather did not stop the Caledonia girls from having a great night on the slopes. It was the second day in a row that Scots had raced and they took what they learned at the Cadillac Invitational and applied it to Timber Ridge. “Our conference has a lot of great skiers right now and our girls are doing an awesome job competing against them. My underclassman are really starting to step up with some fast runs, which is part of our team’s plan to continue to improve.” Coach Petrosky, “We know we can count on Barbie to lead the way but my sophomores, Kyleigh Thompson and Mya Baldwin are both growing into the type of skier who will be ready to lead our girls team into the next couple years.” Scoring for the Scots at the second conference race were Barbie DeGood (7th GS and 10th SL), Kyleigh Thompson (11th SL & 12th GS), Leona Herdin (14th SL & 18th GS), Mya Baldwin (17th GS) and Erin Peckham (22nd SL)---these were Erin’s first varsity points. The Caledonia Varsity B team took third in both events and was led by Elena Luraschi (2nd SL & 5th GS), Lydia Sowerby (9th GS & 11th SL), Kayli Price (14th SL & 18th GS), and Adia Whisler (15th SL & 16th GS). The Scots next meet is Wednesday January 26th at Bittersweet Ski Area. Come out and Fill the Hill, cheering on the Scots, at our first home meet of the year!
