Mancelona, MI — "I am so proud of these girls! They are really meshing as a team and had one of their best days on the snow at one of the toughest slopes in Michigan. Most of the girls on this team had never skied at Schuss, let alone raced on the over 500 foot monster of a slope but they came out and had an incredible race. As always, Barbie DeGood led the way the rest of the girls followed in a big way. Barbie, Mya and Evie all double medaled and Kyleigh brought home her first medal at an Invitational." Coach Petrosky "Our younger racers are really starting to step up and ski faster as the season progresses and we are looking forward to seeing how they finish up the season." Double medaling were Barbie DeGood with a 2nd place in slalom and 3rd in GS, which are her career best Invitational finishes. Mya Baldwin, sophomore, earned her medals placing 6th in GS and 12th in slalom while Evie Schlett brought home some bling placing 7th SL & 9th in GS. Kyleigh Thompson also brought home medal and scored in both events. The Scots next conference race is Wednesday at Bittersweet, followed up a non-conference race on Thursday at Bittersweet. Regionals are Valentines Day at Caberfae Peaks.
