Otsego, MI — "If you have been watching the Olympics you have seen what an unpredictable sport ski racing can be, it is a sport of skill, mental toughness and a little luck at times. The SWMSC is a tough conference made up of some of the best skiers in south west Michigan and tonight our girls skied great, finished 4th and also moved into 2nd place in the standings for the conference." Coach Petrosky "We were very consistent in tonight's race and our girls skied some great times, which we expected after racing up north for the past two races. I am extremely excited to see Mya Baldwin lead the way for the team in GS, not too many sophomores do what she did tonight. We are senior heavy team and having the sophomores starting to step up is a great sign for the future our girls team". Scoring for the Scots were Barbie DeGood (9th SL and 14th GS), Mya Baldwin (11th GS & 16th SL), Evie Schlett (13th SL and 15th GS) and our other sophomore Kyleigh Thompson (18th GS and 18th SL). The Scots B-Team took 4th in the B-Meet and was led by Elena Luraschi (1st GS & 1st SL), Adia Whisler (15th SL & 15th GS), Kayli Price (18th SL & 18th GS) and Lydia Sowerby (16th GS). The Scots race Thursday in the Battle for Bittersweet against Husdonville, Plainwell/TK and South Haven and then journey north for Regionals on Monday Feb 14th at Caberfae Peaks.
