Mission Hills League Dual Meet - All levels

San Marcos, CA — Last week the Cougars traveled to Mission Hills to open league competition. The night started with the Girls and the JV winning 7 of 8 matches. The Cougars boys varsity however came away with a loss, 28-56. The Cougars battled in through out the night and due to some circumstances had to forfeit 4 of the 14 weight classes, digging ourselves in a 0-24 hole we could not come back from.

Ruben was able to pin his opponent and gather 6 team points in a tough match.

Anthony Solis

Anthony pinned his Grizzly opponent resulting in 6 team points for the Cougars.

Joseph Guzman

Joseph won his match by pin to collect 6 points for his team and his first bonus point victory of the season.

Michelle Klein

Michelle backed her opponent up all match and finally came away with a pin.

Carla Flores

Carla gathered a pin in a dominant victory.

Brianna Felix

Brianna had to work hard as her opponent kept fleeing and not engaging, But she eventually prevailed for a victory by pin.

Melanie Flores

Melanie wrestled in the match of the night and was losing most the match before putting her Grizzly competitor to her back and securing another pin for the Cougars.
