The Royals (7-0, 2-0 GSAC) remain undefeated on the season after defeating the Spirit, 81-37 as Rhianne Omori (JR/Honolulu, HI) led the Royals with 17 points. Rhianne Omari started off the scoring where they left off Friday night, from beyond the arc to give the Royals an early 3-0 lead on their first possession of the game. After the Royals defense pushed a ten-second call, Omori sunk her second triple and Jeanette followed with a steal and a layup to put the Royals up 8-0 early. The Spirit responded with a bucket, but the Royals went on another 8-3 run and the Royals were up 26-10 after the first quarter. The Royals continued to dominate on both ends of the court as they only allowed five points in the second frame and led 53-15 at the half. In the first half, Rhianne Omori led the Royals with 13 points and the Royals forced 23 turnovers and had 17 steals. Ana Resendiz (JR/Ontario, CA) opened up the second half with a three from the left wing to get the Royals' offense back up and running. Keira McNamee (FR/Wilsonville, OR) gave the Royals their largest lead of the game sinking a deep three to make the score 70-23 with one minute left in the third quarter. HIU continued to put pressure on the Spirit's offense and twelve Royals scored as the Royals took down the Spirit 81-37. Jeanette Fine (FR/Las Vegas, NV) had 12 points, while Casey Fust (SO/Brea, CA) had 10 points to help the Royals shoot 44.3% from the field. The Royals will host the University of Saint Katherine on Monday, November 22, and La Sierra University on Tuesday, November 23 in Darling Pavilion for two non-conference matchups.
