Our kids really took advantage of the calm weather and played some excellent tennis. After fighting through a tough tiebreak semifinal match, Josh played some of his best tennis in the championship match. He moved around the court well and was hitting his shots consistently. Ethan made his way through the bracket battling some nerves but was able to come in clutch in each match and find his consistency to pull out the wins. Owen and Charlie played well all day but ran into a good team from Newton in the final. We had a lot of opportunities at the net, but we need to learn to move better in doubles to stay active at the net and put ourselves in positions to finish off points. Connor and Braden played lights out all day. Their championship match featured some great doubles play and showed how well these two play together as they were setting each other up at the net for easy put-away volleys. We have a busy two week stretch, hoping the weather starts cooperating like it did today!
