Otsego, MI — The girls team came into Wednesday's SWMSC race at Bittersweet in 6th place and skied well enough to move up one place. "Our girls really are improving and we showed it tonight by taking 4th place in slalom and 5th place in GS. Once again we were led by Mya Baldwin and Kyleigh Thompson, who both had top ten finishes in both events. This was the best my captains have skied and they are leading the rest of the girls on the path to improvement." Coach Petrosky "My newer racers all posted nice times and moved up in the standings and we know that this will continue as these girls push themselves to get faster". Mya Baldwin placed 8th in both events and Kyleigh Thompson placed 9th in both events to lead the Scots. Also scoring for the team were Erin Peckham (19th SL & 28th GS), Liz Hilton (22 SL & 26th GS). The Scots are going to busy with the Norm's Invitational Saturday at Cannonsburg, the Clare Invitational at Schuss Mountain on Monday and a conference race at Timber Ridge next Wednesday. The Caledonia Girls B Team placed second at the meet. Scoring for the Scots were Adia Whisler (3rd Sl & 5th GS), Katie Honhart (6th Sl & 12th GS), Elizabeth Honhart (10th Sl & 18th GS) and Jimena Ansenjo-Lopez (16th GS). We are seeing a ton of improvement in all the skiers on this team.
