Santa Ana, CA — FUHS Girls had a great performance at the Mater Dei tournament. Leading the way and coming out with medals were Ashlyn Vasquez, going 4-1 and taking 3rd 🥉, Janessa Gallardo, going 2-1 and taking 7th, and Becky Garcia going 3-1 Conso Champion. Great job ladies!

Ashlyn Vasquez

In her first varsity tournament, Ashlyn went 3-1 and took 3rd. Along the way she knocked off the #1 and #8 seed before losing a close match in the semi finals to the #4 seed. She rebounded by pinning her girl in the 3rd/4th place match.

Janessa Gallardo

After losing her first match, Janessa was able to win 2 in a row with 2 pins and finish 2-1 and take 7th.

Rebeca Garcia

Becky lost her first round match, but battled through the adversity and won 3 straight with 3 pins and took 9th/consolation champion.
