TBA, MO — The Chillicothe Hornets boys golf team rose to the challenge today at the MEC Tournament, taking 3rd place in the conference today at windy Veterans Memorial Golf Course in Cameron.
The favorite coming in, Leblond, took first with a team score of 306. The Hornets not only defeated close rival Lafayette, but also came very close to taking 2nd place from Maryville, most people's pick to finish second. The Hornets finished with 347, only two shots behind the Spoofhounds.
Jackson Trout and James Mathew earned All-MEC honors, finishing T-7th with 81s.
Tyler Stephens fired 92, Andrew Hecker 93, and Griff Bonder 98.
