Athletes will be dismissed from class at 8:45am on Wednesday morning and will miss the remainder of the school day. The district is providing an optional one-way bus that will leave DCCHS at 9:00am. An athlete can choose to ride this bus to the meet or an athlete may elect to arrange their own transportation to the meet. No coach will ride the bus to the meet. Each athlete will need to arrange transportation home from the meet as no return transportation will be provided by the district. Our arrival time will be a bit later than usual for a 10:00am meet, but this is necessary to accommodate the district’s transportation availability. We will conduct our team warmup at 9:45 am. Field event athletes who are competing at 10:00am are excused from the team warmup and may begin their warmup earlier than this. We have not entered athletes in the sprint medley or the 4x800m relay, so this later arrival time will not affect our competitors races. As always, athletes are encouraged to stay for the duration of the meet to support their teammates. However, due to the rescheduling of the meet to a school night and the scheduling of parent-teacher conferences, we will demonstrate flexibility with this as needed.
