Hawks are challenged by group A at BSU

Boise State Camp Day 4

Boise, ID — This year the Hawks played up in the A division with the big schools as opposed to the B division last year. We were the smallest A division school but stood in there toe to toe with some tough competition. Our weaknesses are in our front lines both offensive and defensive as well as our QB play. While we went 7-0 in 7 on 7 situations in camp our scrimmage results showed we are a long ways from being a competitive football team. Violence and resolve keys to victory will be imperative for us to work on in the next 2 months leading up to our first game. Hawks went 1-2 in the Tuesday night showcase with losses to Mountain View and Borah with a win over Timberline. Work to do. Go Hawks

Brodie Fleshman

Camp Defensive MVP- Brodie is our emotional leader on the defense. He is fully bought in and plays with great energy and emotion. Brodie made some big plays this week; from interceptions to hit hits Brodie’s seems to always be in the mix.

Ayden Martinez

Camp Offensive MVP- Ayden is a threat to score every play because of his speed. Ayden is a leader for us taking the majority of the reps, improving his hands and catch radius, and providing a clear example of what it means to be a Hawk.

Cooper Mai

Camp Lineman MVP- Cooper is a 2 way starter that is bringing some energy and aggressiveness to our fronts on both sides. Cooper is emerging as a leader and we are pleased with his progression.
