Orange, CT — The CT Crushers Baseball Team will be hosting several fundraisers in the coming months to raise enough money for a dream trip to Cooperstown next year. The boys, all Orange 6th graders, will begin the fundraising at this weekend’s highly anticipated Labor Day Fireworks and Concert at the Orange Fairgrounds, 525 Orange Center Road, as they assist in directing traffic and parking cars. The second fundraiser will take place at Roche Field at Old Tavern Park, the following Friday, Sept. 8, with an outdoor movie under the stars showing of the ‘classic’ film, “The Sandlot” (PG) starring Tom Guiry, Karen Allen and Denis Leary. Here are the details: Movie Night on the Field Friday, September 8th – Gates open at 7pm, movie starts at 7:30pm Old Tavern Fields (Roche) – 116 Old Tavern Road, Orange Movie: The Sandlot Adult Supervision is required. Bring a chair or blanket Snacks will be sold $5 per person if registered by Wednesday, Sept. 6 with a max of $20 per family. $7 per person after Sept. 6 or on site with a max of $25 per family.
