Orange, CT — The weather held out just in time for the CT Crushers to have their movie night and watch The Sandlot on Roche Field at Old Tavern Recreation Park! At times, there was lightning in the sky in the far distance, but it didn't faze those 80+ in attendance! The setting of watching a baseball movie, on a baseball field, with a baseball game being played in the short distance turned was poetic! The parents and players did a great job directing supporters to the field, staffing the registration table and snack stand tables. The big hit at the snack stand was freshly made popcorn! Players cleaned up the field afterwards and thanked those that attended. Prior to the movie there was a surprise Cameo video from actor Victor DiMattia, who played Timmy Timmons in the movie, welcoming everyone to the night, introducing the movie and wishing the CT Crushers good luck on their journey to Cooperstown. The night could not have been possible without Esskay Four PhotoBooth Co for sponsoring the event and providing the inflatable screen. You can check them out at www.esskayfourphoto.com. We thank all that came out to support the CT Crushers!
