Cadillac , MI — The Ski Team traveled to Caberfae Peaks Resort on Monday to compete in the MHSSA Region 5 Ski Meet. Conditions were perfect for the race, rock solid snow and seasonable temperature were welcomed by everyone as Cadillac High School hosted the race. The Scots ended up in 9th place out of the very tough 13 team field of teams from west Michigan. "Our girls came out and put down some great runs at the race but there were some of the fastest teams in the state at this meet. Cadillac's girls are favored to win the state championship this year and they set the pace. Mya Baldwin and Kyleigh Thompson lead our team at Regionals, just as they have all season. These two have started for me since they were a freshman and a sophomore and their leadership has really shown through the past two seasons. They have worked hard and have overcome challenging situations while being there for their team." Coach Petrosky " Our upperclassmen and exchange students are wonderful girls, who I feel very fortunate to have been able to coach. We normally have an exchange student or two but we have never had three and certainly have not had three that have impacted our team with their scoring. Vicky Brousse, Zosia Skrzypek and Tamara Sarkoeziova were a joy to have on our team and we are going to miss them when they head back to Europe at the end of our season." The Scots were lead by Mya Baldwin (32nd SL & 36th GS), Vicky Brousse (34th SL & 41st GS), Kyleigh Thompson (37th SL & 49.5 GS), and junior Liz Hilton (49th GS & 50th SL). Also skiing at Regionals for the Lady Scots were Zosia Skrzypek, Tamara Sarkoeziova and freshman Madison Reynolds.
