Thompsonville, MI — Heading into Wednesday's two conference races the Scots were in third and 81 points behind Glen Lake and ended the day ahead of them to finish 2nd their first year in the Lake Michigan Ski Conference. The first race of the day set momentum that built info our conference's Championship race in the afternoon. "Our skiers are really building momentum, every run seems to bring out an even better run to follow it and it is fun to watch. We are see the guys realize how fast they can be and everyone involved with our ski team is enjoying the excitement. Wednesday had a lot of challenges brought on by the warm temperatures and softening snow but our skiers prevailed." Coach Petrosky "We won our first event in the conference, I am so proud of how hard everyone is working and know that they are ready for Regionals at Caberfae Peaks on Monday." "Moving to a new conference is a huge learning experience but the team is really beginning to excel. We landed five guys on the LMSC All Conference Team: DJ Potgeter (8th place), Brayden Smith (9th place), Cohen Broomfield (14th Place) and Aidan Brown & Ben Diegel tied for 15th place. These guys really skied well this season and are great examples for our newer racers." The following skiers scored in the morning races: DJ Potgeter (8th Sl & 9th GS), Brayden Smith (9th SL & 12th GS), Aidan Brown (11th GS & 14th SL), Cohen Broomfield (12th SL), Derick Pritchard (14th GS). In the LMSC Championship race in the afternoon, medals were awarded to the top ten skiers in each discipline. Scoring for the Scots were DJ Potgeter (4th SL & 6th GS ), Brayden Smith (5th SL & 5th GS ), Cohen Broomfield (6th SL ), Ben Diegel (9th SL ), Aidan Brown (8th GS) and Peter Calhoun (9th GS). All of Caledonia's scorers also earned medals and the Scots won Slalom and took 2nd in GS.
