Escondido, CA — A day after competing in a trimeet at EHS the Cougars traveled to San Pasqual to take on city rivals Orange Glen and San Pasqual high schools. Our first dual was against OG, the Cougars were victorious by a score of 51-22. In the second dual of the night against the defending city dual champs, San Pasqual the Cougars ended up winning a hard fought contest by a score of 43-30. On the night we had the following wrestlers finish undefeated. 115 - Eric Aguilar (Sr.) 2-0 122 - Nikki Cuevas (Sr.) 2-0 146 - Damian Zavala (Jr.) 2-0 152 - Zane Villanueva (Jr.) 2-0 217 - Friday Pollard (Jr.) 1-0 / Jesus Rodriguez (Sr) 1-0 287 - Devin Woodshank (Jr.) 2-0

Liam Baker

Liam had a big win over the San Pasqual's wrestler who was the Carlsbad Champion at 140lbs last week. Liam dominated the match from the first whistle eventually securing a 6point fall for the team.

Zane Villanueva

Zane had a big bounce back day after having disappointing results from the night before. Zane came away with 2 huge wins that helped us win the City Championships.

Devin Woodshank

Devin has been wrestling lights out. In his first match he upset the Orange Glen heavyweight who was a top 6 placer at the Carlsbad Invitational last weekend. Devin came away with a pin and earned the team 6 points.
