Event MVP

Cadillac , MI — Ionia traveled to Cadillac High School to compete in the Girl's Individual Regionals. Ionia had 2 girls competing today, Sarah Schafer and Sadie Roberts. Sarah Schafer had a great day coming home with a 2nd place medal and qualifying for the State Finals. Sarah went 2-1 on the day with a big win in the Semi Finals over an opponent she has lost to 2 different times this year. Sadie Roberts went 1-2 on the day, falling just short in the blood round to the # 9 ranked wrestler in the state from Montague. Sarah Schafer will compete in the MHSAA wrestling state finals on March 1st and 2nd.
