Atglen, PA — The Annville-Cleona Track and Field team had a split meet on a beautiful spring Wednesday against Octorara. The Girls team came away victorious (88-61) while the Boys team suffered their second loss of the season (58-91). On the girls side, 4x100 relay was victorious as well as the following individuals: Miracle Hershey (100 & 200), Kya Missimer (100 Hurdles & 300 Hurdles), Mackenzie Stellmach (3200), Ainsley Sellers (Discus), Emily Shuey (Long Jump), Madi Long (Triple Jump), and Caitlin Shay (Pole Vault). On the boys side, the 4x800 relay and 4x400 relay were victorious as well as the following individual: Tim Montijo (300 Hurdles), David Moran (800), Landon Hostetter (3200). Although many individual wins did not occur, many of the boys hit either season or lifetime bests in their events. This information can be found in the PR sheet that is attached! In addition to our individual winners, we had many events that "swept" the field. The Girls 100 (Miracle Hershey, Sophia Caporaletti, & Jada Morales), Girls Long Jump (Emily Shuey, Madi Long, & Audrey Sider), Girls Triple Jump (Madi Long, Savannah Kleinfelter, & Sophia Caporaletti), Girls Pole Vault (Caitlin Shay, Savannah Kleinfelter, & Leah Tshudy), and Boys 3200 (Landon Hostetter, Oliver Funck, & Matthew Clemson) were all successful in this effort! Once again, the coaches had some tough decisions when decided the Athletes of the Week. The following athletes were selected: Jada Morales & Tim Montijo (Sprints), Addy Sanchez & Ben Boyd (Distance), Savannah Kleinfelter & Wes Heller (Jumps), and Ashlyn Shaak & Alec Teztlaff (Throws) Our AC Dutchmen have a Bye this upcoming week and begin their Invitational Season. Many of our Athletes will be in action on Friday, April 19th at Twin Valley. All our athletes will compete on Monday, April 22nd at Northern Lebanon and a Multiple Dual against NL, Columbia, and Lancaster Mennonite!.
