Mancelona, MI — “Monday we traveled to Schuss and had big expectations for the race. We have been skiing well and hoped to build some momentum as we get closer our regional race but got off to a slow start. We had a climb and a couple DNFs in GS, which pushed us way back in the points after the first event. At the break, we talked about having to focus on one run at a time to finish the race on a positive note and the guys did!” Coach Petrosky “DJ led the way in the afternoon slalom event earning a medal in 6th place and everyone finished their runs with great times, which allowed our team to finish 3rd in slalom.” At the Clare Invitational, he Scots ended up 6th out of eleven teams. Maple City Glen Lake, who is a member of the LMSC with Caledonia and Onekama, won the meet. In the morning, Aidan Brown medaled in GS with a 12th place finish. Also scoring in GS were: Peter Calhoun (26th), James Pritchard (28th) and DJ Potgeter (47th). In the afternoon, DJ Potgeter earned a 6th place medal in slalom. Also scoring in slalom were: Aidan Brown (16th), Jake Potgeter (18th) and James Pritchard (23rd).
