Thompsonville, MI — At the first Lake Michigan Ski Conference race of the season, Glenn Lake won slalom and giant slalom but Caledonia was only 5 points behind in GS and 17 points in slalom. The conditions were great and the courses held up well for the race. “Last year, we took 3rd place in the conference, so tonight’s race is very exciting. Our girls really skied well and they were very fun to watch. We saw a ton of improvement in our younger and new skiers tonight. It is exciting to see our them start to gain speed, confidence and move up in the overall standings for the conference” coach Petrosky Chiara Marta, an exchange student from Italy, led the way for the Scots winning slalom and placing 3rd in GS. Zuzanna Poradzka, an exchange student from Poland, placed 5th in GS and 9th in Sl to help our cause and rounding out our scorers were Madison Reynolds (8th GS & 13th SL) and Liz Hilton (11th GS & 12th SL). The Scots next meet is the Cadillac Invitational at Caberfae Peaks on Monday Jan 13th. Our next conference race is Wednesday Jan 15th at Crystal Mountain.
