Harbor Springs, MI — The State Finals was held at The Highlands in Harbor Springs on Monday. Chiara Marta started the morning off by finishing 26th in slalom. In the afternoon, Chiara ended up 13th in the field of 73 girls. “I first met Chiara last October and from the beginning, she really impressed me with her hard work and dedication to excellence. As soon as I saw some video of her racing back in Italy I knew that she would make it to the State Finals and Monday has a an exciting race for her and the best ski racers in the state.” Coach Petrosky “We had warm weather and some unique conditions but Chiara skied well and ended up 13th place in the giant slalom, which puts her onto the second team All State for GS. Chiara is only the second female skier to earn a place on an All State team and we are extremely proud of her efforts.” Chiara had an incredible season putting her solidly in the Caledonia Girls Ski Team record book.
