Guilford, CT — The Shelton HS Wrestling Gaels placed an impressive 3rd in the SCC Tournament, edging out Guilford by 3.5 points. Placing were Ricky Fernandez-4th, Noriel Gonzalez 3rd, Ike Blomberg 2nd and Champion Chase Galke. Chase won all his matches with 1st period pins and was voted Outstanding Wrestler by the SCC coaches. JV medal winners were: 3rd place- Izzy Przybylko-cadena, Gabe Czaplinski, 2nd AJ Robilitto, Vin Proto, Anastasia Bazille , Yandeh Njie , Yuri Verkhola, 1st- Andrew Pavliouk, Tony Nerette, Chris Crespo, Ella Piccirillo, and Eddie Czarneski. SHS will next be in action Friday at the Class L Championships at Wilton HS. Congrats and Roll Gael!
