Jackson, MI — The Holt Girls Varsity Bowling Team was the #1 seed after qualifying in the Mel Wolfe Invitational at Jax 60 today. The team took a commanding lead, posting the days high team game of 966. The team was led by Madison Rue who shot an amazing 258. Ava Seyfried added a 194 and Lola Knox rolled a 196 in that team game. The Rams followed that game with a 871 team game, posting a two game set of 1837. Madison again posted a 226 game, scoring a 484 set for the day. After completing 8 Baker Games, the team still sat with a roughly 350 pin lead on the field, scoring the #1 seed for qualifying. In the best 2 out of 3 Baker match ups, Holt first won against Grasslake. Then in the semi-final match up against Northwest, the Rams end it with a win in 2 games. Unfortunately we fell short of taking the Championship from New Boston Huron in a best 3 out of 5 Baker Game competition. But Congratulations to the Girls Varsity Bowling Team on a great 2nd place finish at the Mel Wolfe Invitational 2025. Their determination and pure joy in competing made this an amazing event to see as they all contributed to a very successful day!
