Ramona, CA — On Monday, March 17, the Lancer Varsity Boys golf team traveled out to play in the 3rd annual "Bulldog Open", at San Vicente Golf Club in Ramona. This 18 hole tournament was hosted by Ramona HS. (If you want to play a really solid golf course, make the effort to drive out to San Vicente GC - it is recently remodeled, and the greens and bunkers are very solid!) There were 17 teams in the field, being tested on the par 72, 6,704 yard course. The Lancer squad came out with the victory, shooting a combined score of 4 under par (5 scores counting) of 356, besting the runner up team by 42 shots! The Lancers were led once again by Sophomore sensations Kenyon Kahler and Kaden Chang. Kenyon was "Medalist" (low individual) with a bogey-free 6 under par 66; Kaden came in tied for second with a 4 under par 68. Rounding out the counting Varsity scores for the victorious Lancers were Roy Kane, Thomas Browning and Cole Lohmeyer, all with 2 over par 74's. It is always a great feeling to WIN! Solid team effort from everyone. Working to get a little bit better every day.
